sendspace Max™ Help Center
We want to resolve your problem using sendspace Max™ as soon as possible. The fastest way for us to do so is to help you find the information that is already available online. Please review the questions below and click on anything similar to your problem to read the answer:
- I have paid for membership; how do I activate it?
Activation is automatic. You must be registered and logged in to use sendspace Max™. If you have registered, please login. If you registered at the same time as joining sendspace Max™, registration is not complete until you verify your email address. This is done by clicking on the activation link sent by email when you apply to register. If you need to be sent the activation email again, go to the 'login' page as and click on the link below the login boxes that says "Forgot password? / Resend activation" - You will be asked to provide your email address and then your activation link will be sent to you again. After completing the registration process, login.
- Why can't I download from sendspace?
You must be logged in to use sendspace Max™. If you are not logged in, you will not receive your download priority and may see message alerts like:
1. No download slots available (remedy: log in before going to the download page);
2. Exceeded 1GB daily download limit (remedy: login and the daily limit increases to 8GB.);
3. More than one download in progress (remedy: log in before downloading and enjoy simultaneous downloads).If you see any of these messages it is because you are not logged in, or your membership has expired. Login and you will be taken to the mysendspace index page to view your sendspace Max™ status.
- Can I upload files bigger than 300 MB?
You can upload large files up to 300MB each. If you want to send files that are larger than 300MB, you will need to split them first. The server will not allow uploads of files that exceed this limit. This limit is the same for all users, including sendspace Max™ members.
- Why can't I get the features I paid for to work?
You must be logged in to use sendspace Max™! If you are not logged in, you will only get the features available to free users. In almost all cases, users who cannot benefit from sendspace Max™ membership have not logged in.
- Why Is My Upload Speed Limit So Slow?
We allow uploads without speed restrictions. In fact, some of our users can upload files at over 400 Kilobytes a second! However, if you are connected with a typical broadband connection you should get around 20 KB per second for send/upload speed. This is because broadband providers set a much lower rate for upload speeds than download speeds. This will depend on your broadband connection and is in no way related to sendspace or our servers.
- How do I login?
To login, click on the 'login' menu choice in the top left corner, then enter your username and password. If you have forgotton your password, follow the reset link below the login boxes. If you have not registered yet, select 'Register' from the menu and follow the easy steps. Your registration is completed when you validate your email address by clicking on a link we send you by email.
-
I forgot my username and/or password. What do I do?
Go to the login page as usual and click on the link below the login boxes that says "Forgot password? / Resend activation" - You will be asked to provide your email address and then your details will be sent to you.
- I reached the daily 8GB limit - when does it reset to zero?
We reset our servers at Midnight EST - that is 05.00 a.m. GMT. Please compare you local time to GMT to find the reset time for your country.
- How long does my file remain available?
Your file will not be deleted even if it is inactive for as long as you retain a sendspace Max™ account, after which it is subject to the usual limits. Your file still needs to comply to our terms of service. We reserve the right to delete files that breach our terms of service. sendspace is a file sharing service. Please do not use us as a storage service and always keep a backup.
