  • What happens if my Premium konto™ bandwidth expires?

    You can monitor your Premium konto™ account activity after login. If you are reaching the limits for your account you are able to upgrade to the next level or buy extra bandwidth at any time. We will also send you an email if the available bandwidth or storage space is close to the account limit so that you can upgrade if required. Your Premium konto™ account must be manually renewed each month (unless you already chose to subscribe). If not, your account will expire automatically, removing the need for binding, long-term commitments.

  • Is sendspace Premium konto™ ad-free?

    Premium konto™ is completely advertising-free. In fact, you can use the power of sendspace to transfer and exchange files and your users do not have to come to sendspace.com. Uploaded files can be set to download directly (often called hot-linking), and files can be uploaded through a dedicated DropBox placed in your own web pages. If you select to show a download page at sendspace, or use a DropBox Page hosted by us, no advertising will ever be shown.

  • Can I link to my files from my website?

    Yes. Premium (Pro) files have multiple options, including a direct link to the files. If you post this link on your website it will download directly without redirecting the downloader to a page on sendspace. This is an ideal solution to keep visitors at your site yet keep overall bandwidth costs low by using the power of sendspace behind the scenes.

  • Can I personalise the download page?

    Yes. You may use links that point to a download page on sendspace. You may add an image or logo by adding the URL of the image in 'Preferences', and add customized text. If you prefer the download page to totally match your website, it is better to simply post the direct download links there.

  • What is the file size limit for Premium konto™?

    Files up to 5GB can be uploaded into your account from the site, depending on the level of Premium you purchased.

  • Are there any restrictions on the type of file that can be uploaded?

    We only prevent uploading of files with extensions that viruses commonly use. You can upload any type of file otherwise. We do not restrict use to images or movies or music etc. Files can even be encrypted or split. As long as the file complies with our terms of use, you can transfer it.

    Yes. The administration of the account and the listing of files in it is password-protected. Your files can only be accessed if you provide someone with a download link. We do not have a search facility and never provide file information to others. You can upload encrypted files and store them on our servers in that form. All Premium konto™ files receive automatic backup on our server network so they still always available if/when hardware fails.

  • I lost the file deletion link, what should I do?

    Registered and logged in users can delete files in their account by going to My Account/My Files. We cannot establish that you are the uploader of the file(s) if you were not registered, logged in, and no longer have the delete link.

  • How long does a file remain available for a Premium konto™ account?

    Your files will not be deleted for as long as you retain a Premium konto™ account and they comply with our terms of service. Unlike some other service providers, we do not limit the number of downloads per file. Premium konto™ account administrators are also able to set a maximum number of downloads, for example, 10, and set a time limit, for example, 10 days, if they wish. This is administered in MyFiles, in Mysendspace. Premium konto™ is made available with as few imposed limits and as many options as possible, making it the ideal, flexible, business solution.

  • How fast can a file be downloaded?

    The actual download speed achieved is dependant on the downloader's type of connection to the Internet and traffic using the Internet at any given time. All Premium konto™ files are offered without speed limits to all recipients. It is also possible for your recipients to download more than one of your files at a time.

  • How many simultaneous downloads of my files can sendspace handle?

    We have the capacity to serve all requests for your files. Download slots will always be available.

  • Can a broken download be resumed?

    Yes. Recipients can resume broken Premium konto™ downloads using a browser or software that supports this. They can also use a download accelerator if they wish. Please keep in mind that we do not guarantee resumes of broken downloads and success depends heavily on the software being used.

  • I lost the file download link, what can I do?

    You, as an account administrator, can view and edit details for your uploaded files in 'Mysendspace/Myfiles'. If anyone contacts us to enquire about a file location, we will not give it, in order to maintain your file security. Only the Premium konto™ account administrator is authorised to reveal the download location of their files.

  • Can users search sendspace for files?

    No. The account administrator determines who has access to any of their files. For copyright and privacy reasons we will not provide file links or a search facility to anyone else.

  • Who can download the files?

    Anyone, anywhere in the world, as long as they have been given the download file link.

  • If recipients share an IP or use a Proxy - can they still download?

    Yes. Premium konto™ files are available without restrictions. A proxy server, or a shared IP, allows many computers on a network to share a single IP connection to the Internet. It is commonly used at places of employment, universities and some Internet Service Providers.
